Digger leaves the Canyon early on the 25th March |
From: Jones Norman <Norman.Jones@torfaen.gov.uk>
Date: 5 April 2016 at 15:38:36 BST I visited the site yesterday, with the proposed developer, he confirmed that the investigative work had been completed by Good Friday and in total ,over the course of the works , that they took 7 lorry load of stone from the Cut for testing and 5 lorry loads of clean aggregate was brought in to site to facilitate repairs to the tracks . It was agreed that the site entrance was not bunded in a satisfactory manner and the developer assured me that boulders would be placed across the entrance and this which will hopefully discourage flytipping and passage of other vehicles, which appeared to be evident, possibly in relation to off road activities. As you may be aware Members of the Councils Planning Committee are visiting the site next week to view it and surrounds , however given the applicant is in the process of preparing further information I cannot give an indication of a likely date for the presentation of the application to Committee for determination , however as stated above we will be undertaking further publicity before this occurs. If you have any further queries please come back to me.
